Shaded areas is the ideal mixture for areas of lawn predominantly growing in the shade due to trees, fences, buildings etc. This seed mixture uses species and cultivars which are bred to be shade tolerant and have a low nutrient requirement. Suitable for front or rear lawns that do not have direct sunlight, the mixture produces a fine leaved sward giving good ground cover. although it will be slow to recover from heavy wear. It is advisable to prepare the seedbed well and use a good pre-seed fertiliser.The seeds can be used for new sowing, overseeding or repairs to existing lawns.
